Keberadaan zine dan newsletter dari subkultur memang tidak dapat dielakan peranannya. Selain sebagai media promosi, zine dan newsletter juga telah menjadi satu wacana provokasi dari ide-ide yang dianut oleh para penulisnya secara personal.
Penerbitan zine yang swadaya memiliki keunikannya tersendiri. Karena hal ini zine tidak hanya untuk dijual atau didistribusikan secara gratis dan dijual namun Zine juga dijadikan sebagai satu komoditas dalam transaksi alternatif "trade".
Ada juga halnya ketika zine-zine tersebut hilang ditelan bumi, ini tentunya merupakan satu hal yang sangat disayangkan. Belum lagi karena pembuat dari zine tersebut juga kehilangan master dari duplikatnya.
Maka dengan ini StoneAge Records berupaya untuk melakukan satu pelestarian zine secara digital. Dimana dengan hal ini semua zine yang dilestarikan akan didistribusikan secara gratis dengan menggunakan Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License sebagai lisensinya.
Dengan lisensi tersebut maka zine-zine yang ada diperbolehkan untuk :
- Dibagikan secara gratis
Dengan kondisi-kondisi di bawah ini :
- Mengatributkan sesuai dengan author dari zine yang bersangkutan
- Tidak menggunakan zine-zine yang ada untuk kepentingan komersil
- Tidak menggubah isi-isi dari zine yang bersangkutan.
Untuk masalah sumber daya, StoneAge Records akan menggunakan internet archive sebagai tempat penyimpanan dari zine-zine yang ada. Alasan mengapa kami memilih Internet Archive adalah karena Internet Archive merupakan satu site yang berkonsep perpustakaan digital yang dimana semua sumber daya yang di-upload di sana tidak akan dihapus, lain halnya seperti mediafire dan hosting komersial lainnya yang bisa saja satu saat konten yang diupload dapat dihapus.
Kami juga dengan hal ini membuka kesempatan yang seluas-luasnya terhadap tiap individu yang pernah membuat zine ataupun newsletter untuk dilestarikan zine dan newsletternya di sini. Dan juga bagi anda yang juga merupakan kolektor zine atau newsletter tertentu dapat berpartisipasi dalam gerakan ini dengan catatan zine yang akan di-upload sudah mendapatkan izin dari pembuatnya langsung. Jangan sungkan-sungkan untuk mengirimkan zine dan newsletter ke email kami di stoneagercrds4@gmail.com.
Materi yang dikirim tersebut boleh berbentuk pertautan ataupun file attachment. Dan zine yang diterima akan diupload tanpa ada batasan apapun baik isi yang ditulis ataupun bahasa yang digunakan. Oleh karena itu kami harapkan dengan ini bantuan dari tiap individu dalam pelestarian ini.

The existence of subculture's zines and newsletters is undeniable. As a promotional media, zines and newsletters has also been a provocation discourse to the ideas that is adopted by its writer personally.
The "Do It Yourself" publishing ethic has kept its own aesthetics. By this, zines and newsletters has not only distributed for free or being sold but also being an items for the alternative transaction so called "trade".
There is a condition as the those zines and newsletters was lost in the middle of time and certainly this is a band things to have. Plus, the bigger problem is when its maker lost the master of the duplicate.
As this happens StoneAge Records is motivated for conserving the existance of zines and newsletters digitally where all the zines an newsletters conserved will be distributed for free under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported as the license.
By the lisence, zines and newsletters are allowed to :
- to Share, to copy, distribute and transmit the work
Under the following conditions :
- Attribution. You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).
- Noncommercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
- No Derivative Works. You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.
For the resources, StoneAge Records will use the internet archive as the storage center for the zine and newsletter to be conserved. The reason why we choose Internet Archive is because Internet Archive is a website which is concepted as a digital library where all the resources that has been uploaded will never be deleted, it is a distinction thing related to mediafire or other commercial storage.
We also open a chance widely to every person which ever made a zine or newsletter to be conserved here. And if you are a collector of certain zine, you can also take a part into this project by granting the permission from its author. So just straight your zines and newsletter into our email on stoneagercrds4@gmail.com. The sent material could be as link or file attachment. And the recieved zine will be uploaded without any boundary, by contains or language that is used. So we are expecting any help from any person for this conservation.
